Reimagining Our Future is a free, open-access UK-wide poetry competition giving young people a space to write about climate, nature, justice, community, and hope. Your poem can be powerful, personal, thoughtful, bold, or imaginative - as long as it is original and responds to the theme.
This competition is open to young people aged 11 to 18 across the UK.

The Judges

Sophie Pavelle
Sophie Pavelle is a science communicator and nature writer who makes the natural world feel exciting, interesting, and easy to connect with. Her work has appeared in places like The Guardian and New Scientist, and her debut book Forget Me Not won The People’s Book Prize for Non-Fiction.

Amy Bray
Amy Bray is an environmental leader, and founder of the charity Another Way, which she started when she was just 16 to help young people engage with climate action and the natural world. She uses clear, engaging writing and storytelling to make big ideas about the planet feel relatable and accessible for teens.

Lucas Brendon
Lucas is the Director and Head of Media at Roots Media, a youth‑led organisation that uses storytelling and sustainable fashion to tackle climate change. He works across film, writing, and media to connect young people with environmental issues, and he also writes poetry that explores climate, identity, and the world around him.
