100% of profits donated
0% greenwashing
100% stoked to make a difference
We're not just another clothing brand. We're a crew of teenagers who decided to turn our passion for the outdoors into real climate action. Every single penny we make? It goes straight to the causes fighting for our planet's future.
We offer a wide range of ethically-made, high quality garments, each of which belongs to a collection, dedicated to funding specific charities, organisations, or causes. Whether it's our Save our Seas collection which funds critical ocean conservation and protection work, or our Rooted in Harmony collection which funds the restoration and preservation of ancient woodlands, you can be sure that all profits will go back to the planet.
Where Your Money Actually Goes
Because transparency isn't optional — it's everything. See the grass-roots projects that we support and our financial accounts below.
£1768.92 Donated...
... so far. This is our total impact in monetary terms. We acknowledge that whilst this number is small now, we are ambitious to amplify and extend our impact, and become a serious voice in the battle against climate change and the environmental crisis.
However, not all that counts can be counted. Facts and figures can only tell half the story. Factors such as carbon removed, or increases in local biodiversity, as a result of our work, are harder to measure, and cannot always be represented as numerical values. This does not undermine their importance - these are critical and powerful actions that all represent hope for a healthier, more equitable world - yet they are harder to pin down on pen and paper. Numbers and figures, illustrating valuable donations to trusted organisations we know are making a crucial difference, are the easiest and most accessible way for us to show you what your money is being used for. We are investigating ways to further measure the impact of your donation, to provide utmost transparency and allow you to feel an overwhelming sense of pride when wearing our clothing - safe in the knowledge that 100% of profits will go back to the natural world. Therefore, our true impact in the fight against the environmental crisis extends beyond the figures which we can currently demonstrate to you.
Save our Seas - £90
All profits from our ocean-inspired clothing range are being directly used to fund environmental action at sea. We've partnered with Till the Coast is Clear CIC, who pledge to clear our coastlines and oceans of harmful plastics, and other nasty pollutants. Their mission is to inspire positive change and promote sustainable and regenerative practices towards a circular economic approach to the future. They clear up plastic pollution from less accessible shorelines using a special recyclable boat and a fleet of kayaks made from recycled fishing nets. Their work is vital in keeping our oceans clean of man-made pollutants, and preventing damage to marine ecosystems and wildlife.
Rooted in Harmony - £50
Profits from our Rooted in Harmony clothing range are being donated to local environmental charity Moor Trees. Their mission is to restore and regenerate vital woodlands on Dartmoor, by growing native tree seedlings in their community tree nurseries, and planting them as new woodland on private and public land. The charity also carries out an annual Citizen Science programme to monitor the health of the woodlands and habitats they restore. Their work is crucial in the fight against global warming and climate change.
Roots X DPA - £1628.92
All profits from the fantastic Roots X Dartmoor Preservation Association collaboration are donated directly back to funding the Girls Do Dartmoor initiative.
‘Girls Do Dartmoor’ is an opportunity for young women to access Dartmoor in an all female-identifying group. Led by Kats Koster-Shadbolt, the program works with these young women to build their communication skills and confidence, breaking down any perceived barriers to spending time outdoors.
Since 2023, the DPA has been partially funding a Community Engagement Ranger, in collaboration with the DNPA. As part of the role, Kats Koster-Shadbolt has created an outstanding program of activities and opportunities for young people and the broader community.
The team at Roots clothing believe that the DPA's work in funding initiatives such as Girls do Dartmoor is critical in improving youth access to the moor, and raising awareness of the numerous environmental issues facing the moor. Only with a deeper understanding of the environment around us can we begin to protect it. Girl's Do Dartmoor is creating a new generation of environmental caretakers, whilst simultaneously allowing participants to boost their confidence, resilience, and communication skills. This incredible initiative, as well as other work carried out by the DPA, has the full support of Roots Media CIC.

Litter picks form a large part of our individual efforts to create a better world. The Roots team frequently partakes in litter picks, aiming to reduce pollution and clear up the lanes of Devon.
We are on a mission to eradicate pollution from our natural world. Whilst the scale of this problem is colossal, we feel empowered to act. We believe that by doing small planet-friendly actions, working together, and encouraging positive environmental action, we can begin to tackle this problem.
Our litter picks through the lanes of Devon have allowed us to find vast quantities of man-made pollutants. Some of our most common finds include plastic bottles, aluminium cans, glass bottles, and other pieces of plastic. However, sometimes we stumble upon some rather unexpected things. From discarded number plates, to dog bowls, spoons, pens, water bottles, metal pipes, and even a few CD's that played some catchy tunes, we find all sorts of strange items on our journeys through the countryside. We recycle the majority of this waste, though unfortunately, due to the nature and condition of some of the items we find, this is not always possible.
We would encourage anyone to take up litter picking; it is an easy and rewarding way to improve your local environment, and is an easy addition to any walk - simply bring some gloves, bin bags, and a litter picker. There are loads of other quick, easy and effective actions you can take to reduce your environmental impact. We would love you to join us in the movement towards a better world. The only time for action is now.
Whilst these are our individual efforts, you can be sure that all profits from our Save our Seas range will also go towards funding the clearing of pollution and rejuvenation of our coastlines and oceans.
Our promise to you (the serious bit)
Radical Transparency:
Every quarter, we break down exactly where every pound goes. We don’t pay ourselves a penny - no admin fees, no wages, no fancy offices. The only thing we ever reinvest in is new stock, so we can keep the impact rolling.
No Corporate Nonsense:
We’re teenagers running a business, not suits in boardrooms. Our decisions are made by young people who care deeply about the planet’s future.
Maximum Impact, Minimum Ego:
We don't need our logo on everything our partners do. We measure success by carbon reduced, plastic removed, and young voices amplified - not brand recognition.
The Nitty-Gritty details:
How We Choose Partners
-
Real Results: Are they actually making a difference you can see and measure?
-
Youth Power: Are young people’s voices, ideas, and leadership at the heart of what they do?
-
Planet Impact: Does their work help protect nature, tackle climate change, or clean up our world in a meaningful way?
-
Open Books: Do they show exactly how donations are used, with honest updates anyone can check.
Our Evidence
Of course, we don't just talk-the-talk. It's vitally important to us that we demonstrate our commitment to you. Whether this is validation of our litter picking ventures, or financial evidence of our donations to organisations we support, here is some well-deserved proof that we live up to our promises:

More coming soon...
We donate 100% of our profits to organisations and charities operating in South Devon and our local area, demonstrating our continued support for their essential work. We do this through regular donations, with the sum donated dependent on how much has been raised through the sales of a particular clothing range.
